Samare stationnaire (Stationary samara)
As part of the Capture #2 exhibition to be held at Le Pavillon from 23 September 2023 to 14 January 2024
In botany, a samara is a dried fruit with a wing-shaped membrane.
With Samare stationnaire, the idea is to build bases capable of producing a vertical laminar airflow that allows a samare to levitate on itself. This flow is accompanied by an all-round “wall of air” to keep the rotating samara suspended above its base, without it ever being able to break its fall, return to a stable state, or become immobilised.
