ECAL Interactive Lab

The students Bachelor Media & Interaction Design at ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne invite you to explore a variety of projects, ranging from the creation of hyper-realistic CGI images to the design of interactive environments. Discover Swiss and Japanese folklore with ‘Folklore Fusion,’ a project that bridges these cultures through character design, showcasing how popular culture circulates in the digital age. This project includes a trading card game (TCG) collection that seamlessly integrates with existing decks, offering varying levels of rarity and immersive augmented reality (AR) content. For the more cunning or those eager to tackle challenges, test yourself with ‘Get-out 4’ by Marius Parisod, a collaborative puzzle game on iPad that fosters direct interaction and teamwork. On a different note, for those seeking an engaging exploration, try out ‘Vulcan’, a VR experience paying homage to volcanologists and volcanoes. It explores themes of human insignificance and the awe-inspiring power of nature. Through these creations and a wide array of projects that merge technology, interactivity, and immersion, ECAL students invite you to engage with your perceptions and transform your understanding of digital interactions.
