Master Media Design, HEAD – Genève
The MA Media Design programme at HEAD – Genève trains designers to explore the potential of interaction design through interfaces, games, immersive experiences, and installations. Over two years, students engage with creative coding, AI, VR, AR, and game engines while combining technical skills with field research and human-centered approaches. Structured around human–machine interaction, and interactive storytelling, the programme also offers collaborations with companies and institutions, as well as opportunities to showcase work at festivals.

CREATUNE

Nestled among the trees, the CreaTunes sing and dance to the rhythm of the seasons. Equipped with your kit, three lures, a guide, and your phone, you become a Tuner in search of them. Your phone turns into a portal: combine natural elements, summon spirits, and enter into dialogue by tapping, singing, or listening. Each encounter transforms your walk into a fleeting, meditative, and magical exploration.
SUBTERRANEUM

Subterraneum is an instrument that turns soil’s biological activity into real-time sound, making the underground audible. Unlike traditional synthesizers, it places the environment at the center of creation, revealing rhythms and harmonics from the earth itself. Accessible to both novices and musicians, it also archives data to build global sound maps of natural sanctuaries. In Nature Mode it listens; in Human Mode it performs, fostering a dialogue between environment, humans, and technology.
