KIKK OPENING - Massaï club
Afrikikk x Massaï Club
For the opening night, we’re putting the AfriKIKK project in the spotlight by inviting Massai Club to put on a 100% African party!
AfriKIKK is a project to promote new media arts and explore digital cultures supported by Wallonie Bruxelles International, Wallonia and Africalia programme. This programme is the fruit of a partnership between the KIKK and a series of partners and curators from the African continent and its diaspora. The main aim of this partnership is to show the importance of Africa in the digital age, particularly as a vector of cultural imagination, social and oral traditions and intangible heritage, by presenting the points of view of a range of artists and experts from the African continent and its diaspora.
Massai Club is a hybrid ritual, a nomadic celebration of Afro Melodic House, where deep grooves, organic textures and tribal emotion create timeless dance ceremonies. It’s about authenticity and community: spaces where everyone feels free to express joy, dance, and connection. https://massai-club.com
Mebara Sao, Jakka, Rebelle & Hassan Barki bring together four powerful voices from the Afro-electronic scene. Each artist explores a unique blend of rhythm and soul, rooted in African heritage and driven by deep emotional resonance.
Mebara Sao, Belgian-Cameroonian DJ/producer and co-founder of Massai Club, blends sensual melodic house and hypnotic grooves into an organic musical narrative.
Hassan Barki, Moroccan percussionist, accompanies him live, merging ancestral rhythms with spiritual elevation.
Rebelle DJ/Producer from Amsterdam infuses Amapiano, 3Step, Afrohouse with spiritual energy. Of Nigerian and Curaçao descent, her sets channel healing and connection, bold, hypnotic, and unapologetically vibrant.
Jakka, from Brussels with Cameroonian roots, crafts immersive journeys through Afro rhythms and high-voltage house beats.
