My nanny was a computer

This talk shares an ongoing artistic journey exploring assistive robotics through the lens of cyberfeminism, hacker ethics, and maker philosophy. It critiques the focus on improving social acceptance of robotics without addressing systemic issues like caregiving precarity and privatization. Moving beyond corporate design, the research envisions robotics as part of shared, inclusive networks, framing technology development as a caregiving process itself. Robots are seen not as isolated entities, but as interconnected systems, offering a vision of technological futures rooted in collaboration, interdependence, and care.
